We are now looking for a Service Lead to take full ownership of our service laboratory and ensure structured, high-quality execution of customer projects.
Role overview:
This is a hands-on leadership role based in Stockholm.
You will be responsible for running the service laboratory, ensuring that customer samples are processed efficiently, data is delivered with high quality, and timelines are met. You will bring structure, planning, and accountability into daily lab work and act as the key link between the technical team and customer delivery.
You will work closely with the CTO and technical team, ensuring that service execution aligns with product capabilities and development.
Responsibilities:
Own and manage service laboratory operations, from sample intake to data delivery
Plan and coordinate service workflows, ensuring timelines and priorities are clear
Ensure high-quality and reproducible execution of assays and data outputs
Define and implement structured ways of working, including planning, tracking, and follow-up
Drive accountability and ownership within the team for service-related tasks
Coordinate with product development, QC, and production to ensure smooth execution
Act as the main point of contact for service delivery, ensuring customer expectations are met
Support scaling of service capacity and improving turnaround times
Contribute to standardization and continuous improvement of service processes
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of experience leading a service laboratory, with responsibility for delivery, planning, and team coordination
Strong hands-on experience with NGS-based assays and workflows, including sample processing, QC, and data delivery
Background in life science, genomics, or diagnostics, ideally in a service or production environment
Proven ability to structure and run lab operations, including planning, prioritization, and execution
Strong sense of ownership and accountability, with a track record of delivering results
Comfortable working in a fast-moving, scaling environment where structure is still being built
Ability to combine hands-on lab understanding with coordination across teams
This role requires someone who is not only scientifically strong, but also highly execution-driven and structured, with a clear focus on delivery.
