The role:
As we gear up to launch our commercial services and products, we are recruiting a new team member to play a pivotal role in driving this process. As a Laboratory Engineer, you will be at the heart of both R&D and operations. You will be instrumental in establishing an efficient structure for our commercial laboratory activities while fine-tuning and ensuring the quality of our offerings.

 

Responsibilities:
We are seeking a highly motivated and solution-oriented laboratory engineer with a strong drive for results, dependable experimental skills and excellent organizational and documentation habits. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Organizing our R&D laboratory and managing reagents and supplies efficiently.

  • Contributing to both research and operations within the laboratory, including conducting various molecular biology and NGS experiments, optimizing protocols, and refining reagent formulations.

  • Setting up and rigorously maintaining quality standards for reagents.

  • Overseeing kit quality assurance, packaging, and the smooth flow of in- and out-going shipments.

 

Requirements:

  • MSc degree or equivalent in a biology or biotechnology field.

  • Proven work experience in a scientific or industrial laboratory environment.

  • Diligent work attitude and proficiency in documentation using ELN software.

  • Prior experience in lab management, encompassing inventory management, procurement, and stock solution preparation.

  • Expertise in molecular biology, preferably in the context of next-generation sequencing sample preparation.

 

Preferred Requirements:

  • Familiarity with lab automation, including experience with liquid handlers and programming skills (e.g., Python).

  • Knowledge of Laboratory Information Management Systems.

The role:

We are now seeking our next Operations Manager to join our journey. This is a permanent full-time employment based in Solna, and you will be responsible for managing all critical manufacturing, technical and service function of Epigenica’s operations in line with the business strategy. The Operations Manager’s role is to lead day-to-day operations, including service provision delivery and oversight of kit manufacturing and logistics. The role includes strategic business and operations process development.


Main responsibilities:

  • Lead, direct and manage the manufacturing and service function to meet, exceed and support business goals
  • Manage and plan budget, projects, personnel and schedules to perform specific projects according to deliverables and overall priorities
  • Develop strategy and objectives of the group to meet the organization’s strategic goals according to five-year strategic plan
  • Oversight of Customer Service, Quality Control, Purchasing and Regulatory compliance
  • Build and establish appropriate processes and systems to consistently improve operating productivity and efficiency
  • Support business development in project evaluation, due diligence and providing technical inputs to potential projects
  • Report supply status and regulatory or quality issues


Requirements:

The candidate must have

  • MSc degree or equivalent in a relevant field (biotechnology/molecular biology/biomedicine/other).
  • Relevant industrial experience (5 years minimum)
  • ISO accreditation experience

Meriting

  • Ph.D. degree within a relevant field (biotechnology/molecular biology/biomedicine/other)

Responsibilities:
We are looking for highly motivated interns to engage in one of the following tasks:

  • Assay development, focusing on applying our technology to different disease models, particularly cancer.

  • Analysis of high-throughput data by building pipelines and platforms for data visualization.

  • Interns will have the opportunity to contribute to a wide range of additional project-related tasks in a dynamic startup environment.


Requirements:

  • Strong expertise in either molecular biology with a focus on nucleic acids or in analyzing and integrating genomics or epigenomics data.

  • Strong theoretical knowledge in epigenomics techniques, specifically ChIP-seq experiments or analysis.

  • A team player who shares our enthusiasm for method development.


Duration: This position is a six months internship.
